Through GARO's donations of educational materials, services or facilities, we aim to improve, promote and encourage civic, patriotic and educational activities, among all in Region One, Guyana.

Our Work
Our primary goal at GARO, Inc. is to provide Educational, Health,Social and Economic assistance that improves the lives of the people of Region One, Guyana. Explore our site to learn more about our exciting initiatives, and what we are working on every day in order to promote change.
Health Clinics
Reach One, Heal One!
With this initiative, our goal is to increase health awareness by providing health screenings to increase awareness of local, and national health services and resources. We encourage the people of Region to make positive health behavioral changes. We help provide information regarding immunizations for children and adults, teach self-care practices, identify topics and participants for future extension of educational health programs. Our ultimate goal is to establish extension agents as a source for educational health programs in our Region and country.
College Possible Initiative
Helping Students Realize their Dreams
At Guyana Aid Region One, Inc. we are dedicated to supporting individuals through our various initiatives. With our College Possible Initiative our aim is to provide students with the tools necessary to succeed in spite of various challenges. Through financial aid, and scholarships, we are dedicated to ensuring every child in Region One has access to higher level education.

With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of individuals from all walks of life. Our whole team of dedicated Non-Profit Organization experts and volunteers are committed to this cause and will continue to work for a better future.
Student Backpack Initiative
One at a Time
Our goal is to provide each child with the tools needed to get an education. Having a backpack, filled with school supplies, gives students the opportunity to succeed, but for some families providing their children with the necessary supplies can be difficult. Seeing this need in our local community our members and corporate partners came together to help ensure each child starts the school year the right way. Our Education Project Team is holding backpack drives throughout the year. Contact us for further information.
